Croke Park Agreement
The Staff of Kingsland NS meet each morning 9.10am for school planning and staff meetings. It should not be used
as a drop off time for children. School day starts at 9.30am. Also, staff remain on the premises until 3.20pm in the
evenings. School closes at 3.10pm.

We received a special Plaque of Excellance award for our Project Our World from the Irish Aid organisation.

Green Schools
Preparation has already begun for the next flag Water Conservation, again a two year process.
Gaelic Coaching commences again in April (16th).
Comenius Project
Three children in 5th. class and two staff visited Seville in Spain as part of the Comenius Project this year. It was a
great success and the children enjoyed their stay in the family homes. Various tours of Palaces, churches, parks and much
more were enjoyed during the visit as well as the weather (39 C most days!). Next visit will be to Poland in May which is the
final part of the Project. Trip takes place from 8th to 13th. May. Staff only going. The Children have prepared a Song, Dance and Mime
on the Tolerance Theme and a DVD is being presented in Poland, as part of the Project.

While Kingsland N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition for all other religions.

Newsletter
Swimming Classes are taking place this term for all children in Roscommon Pool on Fridays.
Computer classes are taking place on Thursday Mornings for children from 1st. Class upwards.
Children and Teachers are preparing for the trip to Seville in Spain on the 11th. Oct to 15th.
Gaelic Coaching has commenced on Mondays for children from 1st. class upwards.
We welcome Mrs. Julia Kelly as our Resource Teacher for this year.
